New York CE Rules and Regulations for Credits:
Course Subject Requirements
Fifteen (15) CE credit hours are required biennially for a single license.
Thirty (30) CE credit hours are required biennially for combined life and health and Property and casualty.
New York Insurance Agents may satisfy the remainder of the CE credits requirement by finishing certified courses applicable to any license type.
Exemptions:
Non resident agents whose home state requires CE and has a reciprocal agreement with the state.
Individuals who have a limited line license for which an exam is not required in New York.
Newly licensed individuals are exempt for the 1st compliance period.
