Appraisal Principals: This course offers training on how to learn property factors, real estate values, legal issues, economics, markets and analysis. Ethics training is also covered in this class. The course will give any Illinois student the ability to use the concepts in any area of property appraising these choose.
Appraisal Procedures : The online course focuses more on the sales, procedures and business aspects of the appraisal industry. The student will learn to verify information and how to develop a an appraiser report. There are sections covering defining problems, collecting data and analyzing. There is also property design and descriptions included in the class.
Residential Report Writing: This course covers the proper technique in writing reports, using proper grammer and conclusions. You need to complete the principles and procedures training course before taking this.

There are also several Illinois continuing education classes available. Maintaining an appraisal license requires periodic CE training. You will be notified of this once you get your license. The requirements post-license are not difficult though.
