Full time or part time Connecticut Appraisers enjoy the freedom to run their own licensed business or they can work through a company. Many real estate brokers will get their appraisal license as a hedge to their current business.
CT Appraiser Courses include:
Appraisal Prelicense Package : This is a 75 hour training course that meets the connecticut state requirements for licensure. This includes the 60 hour online school qualifying curriculum. The rest of the training consists of the
Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. The combination of these 2 sections can gain you successful licensing after completion.

- Real Property Concepts
- Real Estate Values
- Supply and Demand Analysis
- Market Values
- Appraiser Ethics
National USPAP Course Equivalent: This is the 15 hour USAP portion of the Connecticut training.

There are also several Connecticut continuing education classes available. Keeping an appraisal license active requires ongoing CE training. You will be notified of this once you get your license. The requirements post-license are not complicated and CE can be done online in most cases.
