California Regulations:
To be eligible for the state exam you must be 18 years of age and be able to provide proof of legal presence in the United States. Secondly, you must be enrolled in a DRE approved Real Estate Principles Course.
After completing the Principles Course and passing the California State Exam, the state will issue you an 18-Month Conditional License. You will be required within the first 18 months to complete two additional courses to maintain your Real Estate License. If you fail to complete the two additional courses your license will be suspended.
